Regina is a native New Yorker with a B.A. in Economics and a TESOL Certificate from The New School. After working in costumer service dealing with corporate clients for over 18 years, Regina decided to make a career change. Regina has been teaching English since 2006, and has taught in New York, Poland, and South Africa. Regina enjoys getting to know her students and hearing about their cultures. Regina spends her downtime reading and loves spending time with her four nieces and five nephews.

My name is Christian and I’m 23 years old. I’m originally from New Zealand, but I’m both humbled and proud to now dwell on the island of Shaolin. That be the Island of Staten.
I’m Ricardo, first and foremost a polyglot, and a love of languages. I am from Puerto Rico, born and raised, but New York is my true home. I like to make my class feel like a play at theater, fun and dynamic.

Hobbies: J.R.R. Tolkien is my favorite author. I love The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings and enjoy reading whatever falls into my lap from Barnes and Noble. Fishing is a time honored past time of mine and I take it very seriously. I play Capoeira with Mestre Carioca’s group based in Manhattan. I love to travel and have been to Nepal, Morocco, Gibraltar, Germany, Norway, England, Netherlands, Belgium, St. Croix, Colombia, and Ecuador. I like to draw and write. Reggae music is the beat of my heart and my favorite food by far is sushi. I enjoy working with the students to help improve their English by listening to them, reading stories with them, writing anecdotes, enjoying poetry and understanding idiomatic language.
